Sealed Bids for the construction of the Municipal Building Roof Replacement and Improvements will be received by the Village of East Syracuse located at 204 North Center Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057, until 11:00 am local time on August 31, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of roof renovations, exterior brick wall improvements, asbestos abatement and other improvements at the Village Municipal Office Building located at 204 North Center Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract on a lump sum basis.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Avalon Document Services located at 901 North State Street, Syracuse, NY 13208. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents online from the online plan room: www.avalonsyr-planroom.com. Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may be obtained by registering with the Issuing Office (Avalon Document Services, www.avalonsyr-planroom.com). Bidding Documents are available on compact disc (CD) as portable document format (PDF) files for a non-refundable charge of $20.00 payable to Avalon Document Services that includes tax and shipping. By submission of the $20.00 non-refundable payment, bidder will be registered as an official plan holder. It is strongly recommended that all bidders be registered plan holders to insure receipt of addenda. Subcontractors, suppliers, equipment vendors, etc. will also be required to submit the non-refundable payment to receive the Contract Documents.

If prospective bidders wish to purchase printed copies of the Bidding Documents, they may be obtained directly through Avalon Document Services. Only official plan holders will be allowed to obtain printed copies of the Contract Documents. Bidders acknowledge that they are responsible for review of all components on the Contract Documents, including all specification sections and drawings.

Each plan holder of record will be notified by an e-mail regarding each addendum issued for the project. E-mails will be from Avalon Document Services “ReproConnect.” It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to submit an accurate e-mail address when requesting Bidding Documents. It is the responsibility of each bidder to check the Public Jobs Plan Room on the www.avalonsyr-planroom.com website to ensure that all addenda have been received and to download each addendum that is issued.
